August Outfits Recap...

Hello Beautiful People!
It's that time of the month again and below are all of my outfits for this month. My love for bold colors and prints continued throughout this month but I also found a new love for midi skirts and dresses. I am looking forward to incorporating more midi length pieces into my style this upcoming fall season.
Here is my favorite outfit of the month...:)
Which one of these outfits is your favorite?

How are you all doing? I hope you had a great week. I am linking up with Eboni from The Fashionista Next Door for her weekly Style Me Friday challenge. This week's challenge was to style a maxi skirt. Maxi Skirts are perfect for summer days but they are also a nice transitional piece into the fall. For this challenge, I styled this pleated maxi skirt in a rich burgundy/oxblood color with a graphic t-shirt. I completed the look with a statement necklace, some rings, a cross-body bag and a pair of simple black sandals.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

I hope you all are having a good week. My week has been such a blur, I am still not in school mood ha ha... I wish we were still on Summer break...:( If you consistently read my blog, you should know by now that I love prints and more prints. Currently my favorite print is Checkerboard (or Checkers); there's just something about the print that screams classic yet fun. As soon I saw this midi skirt at Forever 21, I knew I had to have it. I personally felt that the styling possibilities are endless, you could pair it with basically anything ranging from black, white and colored pieces. For Church 2 Sundays ago, I paired it with a denim shirt and metallic accents for a different yet chic look.
Let me know below, how would you style this checkerboard midi skirt?
Thank you so much for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your week...:)

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty great, I spent it getting some much deserved rest and preparing for school. Today is the first day of my senior year in college...Woot! Woot!! I seriously cannot believe that in a couple of months I will be graduating...:) I don't know how often I will have the time to blog, but I will try to do 2-3 times a week. With school staring for a lot of students, I also decided to start a new section on my blog titled "School Style." I will basically be sharing one of my school outfits every Monday just to show and inspire fashionista students like myself on dressing casually yet fashionably for school.
So I am starting with this outfit I wore for the last day of my summer internship last week. Some people "my mum for example" (Love you Mum but I am so putting you on blast...Lol) think that being students mean you should wear jeans and t-shirts all the time. She does not understand why I have to look so dressed up for school. Don't get me wrong, I wear jeans and t-shirts to school sometimes but there is always a fun element to it like a colorful scarf, statement necklace or a pair of showstopper shoes. Instead of a pair of jeans, try wearing a pair of printed loose pants like I did in this outfit. Add a simple white shirt, a denim jacket or a blazer and complete the look with a simple pair of flats.
What do you think of this new blog section? Do you like dressing up for school or are you a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl?
Thank you so much for stopping by. Good Luck on this new school year to all my student followers and have a blessed week...:)
