My DIY: Ankara Stars Print...

How was your weekend? Hope you had a restful one unlike me who had a very busy one. Anyways this post features one of the first ankara piece I made myself. I wore this outfit to church 2 Sundays ago and got tons of compliments but I have been getting questions on how I got cut the pieces I make. I simply use a Pattern, they have several brands but my favorite is New Look which I get from my local Walmart store for less than $3. They are very easy to use for a beginner sewer like myself. After getting the pattern, I measure myself and compare my measurements to the size chart to figure out what size to cut since they come in multiple sizes. Then I follow the instruction that comes with the pattern and then sew. That's exactly how I made this high waist pants in the gorgeous star prints. I absolutely cannot get enough of this print and I intend to get it in more colors. I paired the pants with a white polka dot textured shirt for a subtle prints mixing and completed the look with a pair of black pumps.
