I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I sure did even though I mostly worked but I still got to see the fireworks and attend a cookout briefly. If you follow me on instagram (@rallydfashionfanatic) then you already know about this exciting news. I am so stoked to share my first DIY with y'all...:) I love my Nigerian culture and I take pride in wearing my Nigerian outfits mostly made with Ankara fabric but living in the US makes it kinda expensive to get those outfits made. Also, I have always wanted to learn how to sew so that I can make my own Ankara outfits and not get charged excessively for it. I actually got a sewing machine last year, and only used it for making small alternations for myself. Since I have some free time nowadays, I challenged myself to learn how to sew. In the past week and a half, I have watched tons of youtube videos to get a hang of sewing. Guess the first complete piece I made?  Of course it's a full midi skirt...lol, I made it using this Youtube tutorial HERE. Honestly, it's not the best in terms of constructions but I was so proud of myself for doing it and so I have been sewing every chance I get. I have made a couple of ankara pieces that I cannot wait to share with you...)
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!
