How was your weekend? Mine was okay I guess, I didn't really do much except for working and then attending an event at my Church on Saturday evening. I didn't even sew at all, hopefully I can get some more sewing done this week. Anyways, if you saw my post HERE then you know I love Iro & Buba sets and now that I can sewing, I decided to make one. I wore it to church about 3 weeks ago before going on vacation so this post is so overdue. Iro and Buba sets like this cost at least $75 for the cheapest I have seen but I got this beautiful fabric from this Etsy store HERE for less than $4 a yard. I got 4 yards to make the set and still had about a yard left after making it. If I did not know how to sew, I will probably would have spent about $75 on it, instead I made it myself for about $15, winning! On a serious note, if you feel like you have the patience to sew and you are willing to learn, you had better get a sewing machine ASAP cos you can save so much money making stuff for your self. I hope you like this outfit and I am looking forward to making and styling more Iro and Buba sets...:)
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!
Lovely! I hear you on saving money! I made a Saint Laurent inspired dress recently and LOVE it lol
ReplyDeleteStunning beauty
ReplyDeleteWow you look amazing!
ReplyDeleteThumbs up to you girl, this is the perfect way to save money .I would love an Iro and Buba set too, but for me over here its so hard to find good tailors ugh . I thought of getting a sewing machine before but later changed my mind, now I am seriously considering it. Anyways great job on this set, you look good.
ReplyDeleteThat outfit looks great on you. Did you freestyle the top or you used a pattern?
ReplyDeleteI free styled it dear, but here is a good pattern for the buba tops ---> http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v8984-products-47960.php?page_id=865
