My DIY: Ankara Pencil Sheath Dress + Butterick B6094 Pattern Review...

Happy New Month Lovelies!

Ankara Sheath Pencil Dress (I made)
H&M Tailored Woven Coat (similar HERE)
Christian Louboutin "Pigalle" 100mm (HERE)
MAC "Viva Glam II" Nude Lipstick (HERE)
I hope you had a nice weekend, I sure did in between sewing, working and hanging out with my friends. I made this dress weeks ago and I finally got to wear it to church last week. I really like the print and colors of the fabric even though they are kinda loud for the fall season. I paired the dress with a white tailored coat and completed the look with my nude louboutins...:)
Check out the pattern review below!
Pattern ReviewButterick B6094
Pattern Description: Dress has close fitting, lined bodice and contrast facing with flared skirt or straight skirt.
Pattern Sizing: It came in a size 6-14, I cut a size 12 and it fits me perfectly
Fabric Used: Ankara Wax 100% Cotton Fabric
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you are done sewing with it? Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow? They were not too easy because it had a lot of pieces to put together.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the simple yet fitted look but I did not like that in order to attach the lined bodice to the skirt, I had to slip stitch it by hand and that took some time.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? Non except for how I cut my fabric.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Probably not but I will definitely recommend it if you like a nice fitted dress.
Thank you so much for stopping and have a blessed week!
