How are you all doing? i hope you had a wonderful weekend. I sure did! I had fun attending a dinner gathering at my new job on Saturday. I also got to have Sunday brunch to catch up with the bestie after church. As you guys can probably tell from the title, this post features an Olivia Pope inspired outfit I made for the Pretty Girls Sew sew-along for the month of October. I made both the pants and jacket and I actually like both but the fit of the jacket is not the best. Since I started sewing, I have been learning a lot about my body proportions and fit of clothes. This jacket is super big, the fabric I used is also too thick for the style and the snap closures did not help the fit at all. I am definitely going to remake it smaller in maybe an ankara fabric and then have a pattern review then. I love the pants, it's  something different that I normally would wear but I really enjoyed making it and rocking it. I completed the look with a pair of neutral pointed toe pumps to compliment the classic yet elegant outfit. What do you guys think of the outfit?
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!

  2. Good job! I really like your pants!!

    1. Thanks Diane, I love them as well. They are so different from what I normally wear.
