How are you all doing? Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I sure did attending a fun wedding with my sweet momma. I will share both outfits which I made and wore for the wedding next week. Today's post features one of my recents DIY piece, a printed pair of pants. I really like the way it turned out for the most part and I will share more ways of styling it later. I have a pattern review below for those that sew and talk to y'all later...:)

Pattern Review: McCalls M7098
Pattern Description: Fitted shorts and tapered pants have waistband, side front and side back seams and mock fly zipper.
Pattern Sizing: (6-14) I cut a size 14 based on my hip measurement but I had to take in about 1 inch at each side since it was big at the waist. I will probably cut a 12 next time.
Fabric Used: Cotton Stretch Sateen from Joann's (HERE)
Did it look like the photo on the pattern envelope once you are done sewing with it? Yes, kinda.
Were the instructions easy to follow? It was easy until I got to the fly zipper part. It was my first time doing one so I had to read it over and over and then watch a youtube video to do it.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really like the high waist fit but I don't like that it is not as tapered at the leg like it was on the pattern envelope.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I doubt I would sew it again since I am still on the hunt for the perfect tapered leg ankle pants pattern. But I would recommend it if you like a fitted high waist pants.
