Hello Spring Season!

Justfab "Tayrey" Fringe Sandals (HERE)
Printed Headband (I made, Pattern HERE)
MAC "Von Tease" Red Lipstick
How are you all doing? I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far! It's officially Spring and even though the temperatures didn't feel like it this past weekend in the DMV area I am ready for this new season. Spring is absolutely my favorite season in the year not only because of the beginning of warmer temperature and the blooming of flowers and trees but I am also a Spring baby (my birthday is next month). So what better way to start of this new season than in a bold colored floral print number. I snagged this beautiful printed fabric from Vlisco's new collection last month and I am so in love with the bold color that I got it in 1 more color. Since I only got this one in 2 yards and the fabric is very bold, I decided to sew a dress in a simple silhouette. For the styling I paired it with a pair of red fringe sandals and bold red lippie. What are you all most about the new Spring season?
Pattern Review: Simplicity 8055
Pattern Description: Misses' dress has short or 3/4 length raglan sleeves plus overcoat and jacket with full length raglan sleeves.
Pattern Sizing: It came in a size 8-16, I cut a size 14 and it fits kinda tight in the hip area.
Fabric Used:  Vlisco "Woven Wisdom" Java Fabric (other colors HERE)
Did it look like the photo on the pattern envelope once you are done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, super easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the pleated detail on the neckline and the different variations the pattern came with.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? I shortened the sleeve by about 2 inches because I didn't have enough fabrics. I only got 2 yards of the fabric and had to make it work.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and I would love to make the coat that come with the pattern. I would definitely recommend it if you want a simple dress to  make in a couple of hours.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!
