How are you all doing? I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine went by too fast...ha ha. Today's post features a self-drafted skater dress I made for a formal birthday celebration I attended 2 weeks ago. I used the most amazingly thick metallic fabric to make it and added a bold sheer mesh fabric to my sleeve which I cut using McCalls 7083. I styled the dress by playing with bold lime toned sleeves by adding a thin belt, statement necklace and completed the look with a pair of metallic silver pumps.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!

this looks absolutely amazing! I never would think to put these 2 fabrics together, but that's why you are the pro at this! :)

Wow! McCall's should have you on the pattern cover! I clicked on the pattern link and almost didn't recognize the pattern. You elevated it with your choice of fabric color and styling. I don't like sewing with patterns because I can't seem to get them to fit my rather curvy self. But you are curvy and you are making them work for you. So I must be missing something. Anyhow, you've revived my interest in pattern sewing again.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks!
I love this pattern. What is the pattern called? Number?
ReplyDeleteThanks! Sorry the dress is self-drafted so no patterns but I used McCalls 7083 for the sleeves.
