How are you all doing? I hope you are having a restful weekend. Today's post features a dress I made and wore to a Fashion Show way back in June. I love the fabric combination of the printed fabric with the bold scuba fabric from this post HERE that I had to create something else with the fabric remnants. I came up with a peplum hem dress with scalloped neckline and neon accents. Another fact about the dress is that it's completely self-drafted, did not use a pattern for this one. At this point in my 2 years sewing journey, I can make some basic stuff completely self-drafted, Thank God for growth. Anyways, I paired the dress with a belt to cinch the waist and a pair silver bow sandals. I love this dress! What do you guys think of it?
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a nice day!

Fresh & bright & fun! So pretty! The fit is beautiful too, where did you learn to draft patterns? I am currently studying drafting & I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks dear! I basically learn from friends and family who are more experienced sewers. I always ask them to teach me whenever I see them cutting fabrics. It does take a while to learn plus lots of trials and errors but once I got it, I got it. I am sure you can find some Youtube videos and books on pattern drafting as well. Hope this helps...:)
DeleteLovely dress, the vibrant colours and print remind me of summer, And yes thank God for growth. Love that your went with a neutral heel to tie everything together.
