How are you all doing? I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had an amazing time spending the day with my family. Since my rotations are now completed and I have the next 5 weeks off to relax, I have been actively planing my sewing projects. Today's post features a new DIY dress I completed just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. I paired the dress with black tights and fringe booties to complete the look. Off to do some Black Friday shopping with my brother, talk to you all later!
PS: For those that sew, I have a pattern review below...:)
Pattern Review: McCalls 7464
Pattern Description: Fitted dresses have side-front and side-back panels and sleeve variations.
Pattern Sizing: It came in a size (14-16) and I cut it in a size 16 (a size up) because I didn't want it really fitted.
Fabric Used: Cotton Stretch Sateen fabric from my stash
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, super easy!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really love the curves seams even though it was a pain to sew and the patch pockets adds an extra oomph to the dress.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? I eliminated the lining and drafted a neck facing to finish it off. I also shortened the sleeves by about an inch.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes & Yes!
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!
