Happy Thursday Lovelies!
Floral Print Cold Shoulder Top (I made)
NY & Company Audrey Crop Pants (HERE)
Steve Madden "Fringly" Sandals (HERE)
How are you all doing? I am doing great, trying to enjoy the remaining days of my 1 week off before APPE rotations start next week. I am trying to get as much sewing done in the midst of planing some DIY pieces I will be making for my upcoming vacation next month.
I have about 5 weeks to make 8 outfits and hopefully I can pull it off...:)

Today's post features 2 DIY tops, I made this past Mother's Day weekend.
For this top, I made Simplicity 8602 pattern and I cut a size 12 (D cup). I made view B with the cold shoulder sleeves. I wanted a simple yet bold top that will be perfect to transition from spring to summer. I used an African print floral fabric from my go-to Etsy store.
This top is definitely not one of my best fitted pieces, I am not sure if it's the pattern or my fabric choice. I expected it to fit well since it came in different cup sizes but sadly that didn't make a difference. I also noticed that there is some pulling in armhole seams, which was noticeable on the model from the pattern cover as well.
I styled the top with a pair of white cropped pants and blue fringe sandals.
For Mother's Day, I made a top for my mummy like I did last year HERE. I used a fabric from Vlisco and this PDF pattern called "Athena" from Honig Designs. This top was literally last minute since I got back from school 2 days before. I did not time to fit it more but my mum loved it anyways. She is not a big fan of tight fitting clothing, so this works for her. She paired the top with a black pencil skirt for church.
Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day!
Both beautiful tops and great to see your mom enjoying one of your creations!
