How are you all doing? I had an amazing weekend organizing and attending a bridal shower for a friend of mine. It was so much fun celebrating with her and having a girls night as well. Today's post features the next vacation outfit I wore in Dubai. The weather in Dubai was super hot and we could barely go out in the mornings. I usually lounge around the poolside of our hotel and catch up on tv shows. But as soon as the weather cools down, we would head out. I wore this outfit to explore the Deirra market in Dubai.
I usually don't wear hats but it was a must-have to protect myself from the hot weather while walking around Dubai. I found this straw one at Ross and I actually love the way with fits on me.
I am literally obsessed with these jelly sandals from Katy Perry Collection, not only are they super quirky and fun they are also scented...:)
I made this simply knit tank dress to pair with the bold colored striped kimono. I used a Deer & Doe pattern and a black scuba knit fabric to make it. Ever since I discovered this french pattern company, they have become one of my favorite indie pattern company because their patterns are drafted towards women with curves.
I cut a size 42 and it fits just a tad bit tight but I am sure that has to do with my fabric choice. I used a scuba knit that had about 25% stretch when the pattern calls for a jersey/knit fabric with about 50% stretch. I actually love the way it fits and I know I will be making more versions with the appropriate fabric choice. Tank dresses like this are such a summer staple because you can rock it like this for a hot summer day or pair it with a kimono or jean jacket if it gets a bit chill.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!
