How are you all doing? I am doing great, still enjoying the rest of my off block from rotations and basking in the memories of my recent trip to China & Dubai. Like my last vacation 2 years ago, I pretty much made most of the outfits I wore during this vacation but I didn't get the chance to take blog worth pictures of the outfits while there. Since I made some new sewing patterns, I still wanted to share them so I decided to take some pictures. To see more live moments from my trip, it's on under highlights on my instagram page. In meantime, I will be sharing more DIY vacation looks and travel diaries in the next coming posts, so stay tuned!
This first look is super casual and comfy, I wore it for shopping at the Waui Market and exploring Shenyang. I made the top with Simplicity 8601 pattern and a lightweight Telio Playtime Cotton Poplin fabric. The pattern is described as a "easy-to-sew pullover tops for misses that features tie waist and sleeve variations" and I completely agree. I cut a size 14 because I wanted a looser fit but I could have gone with a size 12. I didn't make any modifications. It also a super quick make and I love the tie waist detail. This is a pattern that I definitely will be making again...:)
I styled it with a pair of bermuda jean shorts and bow slides sandals.  I love that I can style the top casually like this or tuck it into a skirt/pants for a dressy look.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!
