How is your weekend going? Mine has been pretty relaxing, getting some sewing done and then studying as well. Today's post features another gingham item. I have been wanting to make a ruffle wrap skirt since I came across them last summer but I never got the chance. Fast forward this summer, I came across Emily Hallman's gingham version and I was inspired to make a version of my own using a black and white gingham fabric I found at Hobby Lobby.
There are many patterns to create this look but I decided to go with the skirt of McCalls 7745 dress pattern after seeing Emily's stunning version.  I cut a size 14 and drafted a waistband for it. I also lengthened the gathered ruffles by about 3 inches. I really like the way it turned out and it did not take much time to make. I definitely want another one in a solid color.
For the styling, I paired it with a black graphic t-shirt and completed the look with a pair of black caged sandals.
Thank you so much for stopping and have a wonderful weekend!
