Happy New Week Lovelies!

Printed Wrap Skirt (I made)
NY & Company Bow Blouse (HERE)
Aldo Brown Pumps (similar HERE)
How are you all doing? I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I was contacted by the lovely ladies of Deer and Doe (a French pattern company) to review one of their newest pattern "Agave" from the SS19 collection. The "Agave" skirt is a high-waisted A-line wrap skirt with asymmetrical panels with 2 different versions: a reversible one or one finished with a facing. The asymmetrical wrap style got  me really excited to make the skirt cos I don't have anything like it in my closet.
I made view B which is the version finished with a facing in this cotton twill fabric. I made a size 40 based on the finished garments measurements with no modifications and the fit is perfect. The skirt is finished with 2 buttons on the inside if the waist. The instructions was pretty straight forward plus skirt construction also quick. It's a skirt that would be awesome for a beginner to sew.
I typically send all my PDF patterns to the copy shop to get the printed to save me the time of printing and taping them myself. I use this website PDF Plotting to get my PDF patterns printed, I get them shipped to me in about 2-4 business days. This skirt only required 1 sheet of 36x48'' pattern. Once I got my pattern in the mail, I simply cut my size and then my fabrics.
Overall, I really love my wrap skirt and I am looking forward to making the reversible version in a solid colored and printed fabrics mix. For styling the skirt, I simiply paired it with a white bow blouse and completed the look with a pair of nude brown pumps. It can also be styled the with a basic t-shirt and sneakers for a casual vibe. It is definitely going to be a statement piece in my spring/summer wardrobe cos I love the style, the length is also perfect for the warm weather. I am also loving the Sirococco Jumpsuit from the SS19 collection, I just got it and I have the perfect orange fabric to make a bold version once I get the chance...:)
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!
